We went to the Depaul University Art museum and saw a few artworks. The Depaul Art museum is a very small museum and they do not have a lot of artworks. Most of the artwork are representational and few are abstract. My group members and I like a sculpture art and a decorative art, but the artwork we liked most was the decorative art by Kehinde Wiley. He is a portrait painter who is known for his highly naturalistic paintings of people with brown skin in heroic poses. His artworks are representational and realistic. Kehinde Wiley work addresses the image and status of young African-American men in contemporary of ongoing HIV/AIDS in America through the lens of childhood, education, popular culture and race. The background of the artwork is decorated, and it's called pattern. The artwork consist of primary and secondary colours, and the colours are bright, clear, and it really attracts.
