Picasso

Secondly, I went to the Picasso which is also located at 50W. Washington st. at Dearborn and Washington by an artist called Pablo Picasso. It was awesome seeing the artwork because I always have some kind of inner joy whenever I see public art. The artwork is in a form of sculpture work, and it's very tall and huge.

Public Art Reflection

Art is beautiful, I love public art because is so much fun especially when we're in a group or with someone. Firstly, I went to the monument with standing beast by an artist called Jean Dubuffet with my mom and my sister. It is located at 100W. Randolph st, Clark and Randolph. I got attracted by the artwork by its color and shape when I was far from it. I was happy to see the artwork, but unfortunately, I didn't like it again when I entered inside the artwork because the smell there was really terrible.

ART 21
Theaster Gates refers art as the ability to see people and potential inside to help imagine that the would we're living is just today's consideration. He likes clay because is something that nobody thinks about. He grew up in Chicago. He didn't know he had skills and talent until he stated using materials. When he started using clay, the contemporary art became interested in his work. He's interested in what sound track is, and loves gospel song. He also worked in UIC in 2006 and bought a new house at the same time at Dorchester. He rebuilt an empty house that was next to his house, and he bought his third building for album collection in 2009. He says when art is present, we should do it well for to have show to be creative. His vision for art work is a vision that really does not have boundaries.

MCA
MCA, this is the museum of contemporary art. I have been to about five to six museums, and among all, MCA is the museum I loved most. Most of the artworks are representational and realistic as well. The artwork expresses emotion and it also talks about the social and cultural aspect of life, especially the artwork about the youth. Fountain of youth states that youth is not just an age group but a state of mind, and is really true. It portraits recreational sex and drug use amongst teens and sense of light heartedness.

In addition, I loved the artwork by George Brecht which is a chair event. The chair event means a tool for sharpening our perception of everyday visual experiences. It needs a kind of attention that every artwork has. The colors of the button leg of the chair have a meaning to get attention from people. The colors have primary and secondary colors.

Moreover, I loved Rei Kawakubo Costumes. The consumes are unique with bright and attractive colors.

Also, I was surprised when I saw a potato that is moving because I have never seen one before.

I felt so excited when I saw a cute lovely door with a room inside.

I felt like I was home when I was at the museum because the contemporary arts are unique and extraordinary.

REFLECTION STUDENT ART EXHIBIT
We went to student art exhibit and it is a very small and spacious place. I loved all the artwork but the artwork that stood up to me most is Hai Mink and Eric's Engagement. This type of work is a stone lithography. The artwork explains the important of having a happy family and is a great thing to have. I chose this artwork because I love to make a peaceful always. The artwork is representational, and I like how it is designed.

BARBARA KASTE:

Art is a determination she made because she likes making things. She likes to live in Chicago because it is a place of art. She said photographing is recording life in general but to her, it was an experimental medium. Her first photography was made in 1978. She uses light and camera to capture artwork because it records something as having object. Also, she likes the idea of questioning and making discovery such as using light to capture particles which can't be seen. The reason why she still likes art is that, it is a process which is all about living and doing, it is fabulous and horrible.

She created the southern poverty law center in Montgomery, Alabama.
It also features a condition behind the scene footage of Lin at work in her studio, offering viewers a favor brief look into the minds of this singular artist. When Morris Dees approached her to design a memorial for civil rights, she said she wanted to understand conceptually what the piece is about or what nature should be before visiting the site. As she continues to deal with controversial topics, Lin bravely explains new aesthetic territory, focusing art and ideas to create more provocative works.
